Project 365 Day #205

“The Spirit of Radio” from the album Permanent Waves, released in 1980
Sometimes I regret not listening to Rush more when I was in middle school and high school. I didn’t hate them or anything, but they weren’t one of my favorite bands back then. Nirvana? Sure. Metallica? You bet your ass. NWA? Hell yes.
I never gave enough time to Rush though. Which is ironic, considering I read comic books, played Dungeons & Dragons, and watched horror movies.
Anyway.
The older I grew, the more I realized that these three dudes were speaking to me. I should have been listening better. It would have helped me get through some rough times. I mean, this song specifically is about loss and detrimental change. Any teenage nerdy boy can understand that.
