“Closer to the Heart” from the album A Farewell to Kings, released in 1977
For no particular reason, we have now reached the point on the project in which gush about Rush for a few days. Yes, I am, in fact, that guy. Rush is one of my favorie bands. This trio of Canadian rockers are lifesavers, nerds, and prog rock gods. “Closer to the Heart” examplifies all of these qualities better than any of their songs.
This, however, is not to say that the rest of their songs suck. On the contrary, my friends.
