Project 365 Day #315

Look Closely.
You’ll see the good king and his page.
“Good King Wenceslaus” by Clamai De Profundis
“Good King Wenceslaus,” released in 2019
A family who goes by the name of Clamai De Profundis writes and sings songs inspired by everything from religion to poetry to JRR Tolkien produced their own version of the classic “Good King Wenceslaus” and I am here for it.
The song, based on a legend about a Bohemian duke, tells the story of a king who sets out with his page on one stormy Feast of Stephen night to help a poor peasant.
Was there ever a time when rulers did such things?
Probably not.
But it is good to have legends about them and it’s even better when those legends are put to music.
Inspiring?
Perhaps.
See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
I like this version too.
