“Just Like Christmas” from the EP Christmas, released in 1999
A band comes along every few years and drops a quiet little EP that does justice to Christmas in its own unique way. Low did it in 1999 with Christmas.
On that EP, their song “Just Like Christmas” rises above the rest as a secular exploration of a religious holiday that is nostalgic, heartwarming, and, at times, a little unsure of itself.
You know, it’s just like everything you feel at Christmastime when visiting family and friends. Sure, it can be fun but it can also be a little uneasy.
