Project 365 Day #312

“Winter Song” from the album The Hotel Café Presents Winter Songs, released in 2008

Sure, Christmas is never mentioned in “Winter Song” but the feeling is there, folks. The feeling is there.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I know little about music. I cannot explain the way voices work together. I have no clear idea how tempo and rhythm work to make magic. I just know that they do.

In “Winter Song” Sara Bereilles and Ingrid Michaelson give magic. Winter is for friendship. It is a time when we gather close. The darkness and the cold can be beaten, most of us beat it every year. Most of us beat it with the help of friends and family. That’s what “Winter Song” is about.

It may not seem like a Christmas song but it is.

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
