“Kick Drum Heart” from the album I and Love and you, released in 2009
This song feels like The Avett Brothers’ attempt at pop music. It doesn’t have their normally somber tone. There is nothing bitter sweet about it. It’s just a song about being excited. It’s just a song about being in love.
Just like you sometimes need to listen to songs that make you cry, you also sometimes need to listen to songs that make you laugh.
“Kick Drum Heart” does that for me.
