Project 365 Day #138

“Train in Vain” from the album London Calling, released in 1979

The story of this song is full of punk rock legend and conjecture. For a long time people even thought its proper name was “Stand By Me” (for obvious reasons).

Romance gone wrong, as romance is wont to do from time to time, is always a solid starting point for good art because, as any artist worth their salt knows, pain is a good place to begin when creating.

Lot’s of pain “Train in Vain”. But also lots of beauty.

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
