Project 365 Day #137

“Humpty Dance” from the album Sex Packets, released in 1990

It is now your chance to do the hump.

This song, coming out of left field in 1990 sold a lot of people on the versatility of rap. I legit believe it is far too often looked over when people discuss the great hits, the songs that changed things, and the classics.

Is it ridiculous? Yes. But it is. But it is intentionally so. For me, that is worth a lot. I am convinced that this song gave MC Humpty Hump so many karma points that he is currently getting busy in a heavenly Burger King bathroom.

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
