This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums. I mean, Obviously, right? But Willie Nelson + reggae music? How do you say no to that? Some of you probably can. But, you know, haters gonna hate.
Anyway, “I’m a Worried Man” was written by none other than Johnny Cash. And the intertwining of his distinct lyrics with Nelson’s and Toots Hibberts’ distinct vocals, and the clear reggae rhythm and instrumentals, makes this a song that should not work.
But it does. It works so, so well.
