“Christmas Time is Here” from the album A Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack, released in 1965
This was a difficult one because it was a toss up between it and “Linus & Lucy” (which is also on this soundtrack). Ultimately, I had to go with “Christmas Time is Here” because it is 100% Christmas. “Linus & Lucy,” while lovely, is not just a Christmas song, it’s a song about the Peanuts.
Anyway, as a GenXer, I could not, in good conscious, write about a bunch of my favorite Christmas songs without including Vince Guaraldi’s most famous Charlie Brown song.
