Here is another one of those songs that simply gets it. Christmas and the holiday season isn’t all about happiness and joy. Thinking over everything you’ve done with your life isn’t always pleasant. Sometimes it’s ugly. Sometimes you see yourself doing things you’re not proud of.
But guess what?
There is also joy there. There is also happiness.
There is also love.
It is the human experience summed up in beautiful, poetic music that you feel more than you hear. If I’m in the right mood, I get choked up when I hear it. I like this song so much, in fact, I wouldn’t mind it being played at my funeral.
