Project 365 Day #292

“Semi-Charmed Life” from the album Third Eye Blind, released in 1997
Sometimes I imagine the boys in Third Eye Blind sitting around trying to figure out a way to trick the censors into giving them airplay on a song about meth addiction and all of the travesties that come with that.
First, they come up with a doo-wop sounding beat.
Then they have the first couple of lines go like so: “I’m packed and I’m holding/I’m smiling, she’s living, she’s golden.” Romantic, right?
Then they sing pretty quickly, sliding their words together below the aforementioned swinging doo-wop beat.
Finally, be 90s cute.

See what I mean?
