Project 365 Day #245

“Flash” from the album Flash Gordon, released in 1980

Has any band ever gone as hard as Queen did on the soundtrack for this ridiculously awesome movie?

The answer to that question is a resounding no, folks. Resounding!

“Flash” uses sound bytes from the film, mixes them with Queen’s distinct sound and lyrics that border on high poetry.

In other words, Queen did their homework when they made this soundtrack, but specifically when they made this song. It is a masterpiece of pulp fiction morphed into music.

It’s existence, much like the existence of the movie where the song appears, makes the world a better place.

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
