I’m not a religious man, but God bless Run DMC. Three dudes who really like Adidas attire came out of New York in the 80s to bring hip hop to the masses.
One of my favorite songs of all time — obviously — “It’s Tricky” showcases all three members’ skills, but particularly Jam Master J’s. For me, he is and always will be the king of that 80s New School sound. It’s fast. It’s fun. And it’s unapologetically hip hop.
