Project 365 Day #150

“Sour Patch Kids” from the album Lazy Fair, released in 2014

Summertime has always been special to me. As a child, it was my time to escape school, a place where I had few friends, a place where I got in trouble for daydreaming, and a place whereI felt trapped. In that escape I wandered my neighborhood, sometimes walking, sometimes on a bike, I listened to music, I read comics into the wee hours of the morning, and I got busy just existing.

It was magical.

This song, that my children introduced to me years ago, captures that magic and it wouldn’t be bad if it were the last one I hear before I die.

See what else I’ve placed on Project 365 here.
