“Under Pressure” by Queen & David Bowie

“Under Pressure” from the album Hot Space, released in 1982

Queen is probably going to appear on this list a few times. But I had to go with this one first because David Bowie offers his unique vocalization to the song. When you mix Freddie Mercury with David Bowie you get quite the sound.

A song about how difficult life is sung by two men with beautiful voices creates that kind of rich juxtaposition that elevates art. “Under Pressure” has been so elevated that it is one of the most well known songs in the world.

This has nothing to do with Vanilla Ice’s sampling… I think.
