As I’ve mentioned, I unapologetically enjoy Nicki Minaj. And this duet with Beyonce is, in my humble opinion, her best track. Maybe it’s because Beyonce sings with her. Maybe it’s because I somehow memorized all the words and can rap right along with my girl Nicki. Maybe it’s because, through a series of events that are kind of cloudy to me, I associate it with summertime and parties.
Whatever the reason, I’ll listen to the bombastic beats and hard edged flows of “Feeling Myself” on repeat. It’s like a river of broken glass scattered with diamonds. I wouldn’t want to dive in, but it sure is pretty.
